  • These horses, often referred to as “temple toys”, must have been mounted on boards with small wheels, and were offerings to the gods, deposited in the temple.
  • North India, early 20th century.
  • In good condition, normal oxidation marks (greyish patina).
  • Provenance: Estate of collector and art dealer Claude de Marteau.
