    Thailand, Sawankhalok/Si Sachanalai kilns, 15th/16th century (Late Sukhothai period).
  • Sawankhalok ceramics were at the center of an important trade as early as the 14th century, which rapidly intensified with Indonesia in particular.
    These pieces come from underwater wrecks discovered off the coasts of Malaysia and Indonesia, which is why they are studded with concretions.
