- Designed by George Cawardine in 1935 as a work lamp with ergonomics and stability as its objectives, this lamp was manufactured by Herbert Terry & Sons in England.
- This is an uncommon variant, the “model 1209”, which was intended for professional, more specifically medical, environments. It has remained in the same family for 2 generations, and the paintwork is period and particularly well preserved. It dates from the mid-1950s.
- The electrical cable has been changed.
