Large bronze Buddha head Lan Na

- Large Shakyamuni Buddha head in bronze (or copper alloy) with greenish-brown patina.
It remains (free) on its wooden base, which has been renovated. - Northern Siam (Thailand) Late 19th / early 20th century, Lan Na school (Kingdom of Lanna: 1292-1892).
- This bronze is still sealed with its export license from Thailand’s Department of Fine Arts, which authorized it to leave the country at the time. The date 2517 in the Buddhist calendar corresponds to the date on the inventory label (1973).
- Provenance:Estate of collector and art dealer Claude de Marteau. Sold with certificate of provenance.
